| About: | It's fun just to stand on the corner and watch the cooks toss pizza dough behind the wrap-around windows of the Pasquale's Restaurant & Pizzeria. This family-style restaurant is a great choice for a late night meal or pizza. The dining area is roomy and comfortable, with many large tables appropriate for group seating. Checkered red and white tablecloths lend the traditional Italian feel. Pizza is the specialty, with more than 40 tasty combinations to choose from. The prices are reasonable, too. A decent selection of pastas and traditional Italian entrees is also offered. Service is quick and the waiters are friendly and cheerful. |

The pizza tastes like dogfood. Walked in here and they burnt the crust so crisp that I had to throw the pizza out. There was also a dogfood flavor in the pizza itself after they burnt the crust to a wickedly nasty black crisp. I think that certain ethnicities (I won't mention which to avoid any further confrontations to those in the future), these people don't like and they will go out of their way to burn the pizza for you. It really sucks and just stay away from here if you are certain ethnicities. That's all I have to say, unfortunately.
This fixture of Irving street is still strong, still fabulous after all these years. Great pizza - super tasty. Their lasagna is about the best I've ever had. That said, their other pasta is sort of ho-hum, mostly because they are very stingy with sauce. Admittedly, I love sauce - always want extra sauce but they are very stingy (even when I ask for lots and am fully willing to pay). They have outstanding salads (mixed green is the best). And the chicken parmigiana sandwich is truly wonderful. You can't go wrong with this place. All that and they deliver fast - always less than 40 minutes, usually in 20 or 30.
The Best: My favorite Pizza in the city. Whenever I'm back in town, I make it a point to get some Pasquale's. The only criticism I have is that sometimes if you get pizza in the day, the crust isn't cooked as long as I would like. Still bomb though.
