Company Information: The decor is upscale rustic Italian with an expansive, flower-filled patio that has covered seating for those dining on delicious, authentically prepared pastas, veal, and seafood dishes. Vegetarians are easily accommodated here with either the vegetarian version of the hearty house lasagna or the toothsome pastas topped with meat-free sauces. The service is quick and personable for the crowd of upscale regulars and tourists. Live music plays nightly from 7p on Tuesdays through Saturdays. The wine list features Italian imports and a few California vintages with a good bottle starting at $9.

   Great food, ambiance & value!: This is a great little tucked away down a little alley, hidden restaurant with fantastic ambiance and often with live music that doesnt prevent conversation. Decor is comfortable, non stuffy but classy European shabby chic and there's outdoor dining available as well. Very comfortable regardless of what you're wearing.Everything I've had on the menu is quite good and VERY reasonably priced.The location is great with easy access to all of North Beach and valet parking right at the restaurant. Great place to take out of town visitors before a show too. Service can be a little slow occasionally but hardly noticable because of the ambiance. I've been many times and highly recommend it.

   The other reviews are completely off: What a horrible place. I took my sister there for her birthday and they messed up big time. The service was horrible, the reception was rude, and the general atmosphere was just disorganized. The waiter took forever to take drinks, bring food. When they brought the food, my plate was salty that my girflfriend and I had to send it back because it was simply not edible. They ended up CHARGING us for the plate even though the food was not edible! The waiter was completely nonchalent as if we didn't know the rules of eating out. I would never go back to this place, and plan to do everything possible to prevent all of San Francisco from being duped. It's overall a horrible place.
