Good experience: I have been passing by this restaurant for many years on my way to University Avenue and have finally stopped by for dinner. This decor is okay, it is quite dark but not the romantic kind, and busy. The service was good, and the menu offered lots of choices, from salads to more consistent dishes (around $25 for an entree). We all had fish dishes and my halibut was very good. I'd recommend it if you need variety.
Terrible!!: I think Scott's is your classic mediocre (at best) surf & turf place that's been in business way too long. The food is lousy -- overcooked, undercooked, bland, you name it. I've lived on the Peninsula on and off for 10 out of the last 20 years, and I finally went to Scott's in 2005 for a work dinner (not my idea). All those previous years, I just wasn't interested. It was even worse than I expected. If Scott's were in a big city, it wouldn't last a month before having to close its doors.
I will definitely go back: Pros - The food is great.
Every time I go there I try something new, and I never failed.
Cons - A little pricey.
The one time I was there when it was completely full, we had to wait a long time for our food.
