Mediocre at best. Food quality ie so so. Service is okay. Portions are small. I would go somewhere else next time. Althogh the maitre de was a really nice guy.
This restaurant is truly San Francisco. Located at 3345 Steiner St, in the marina district, it's truly one of the best places to enjoy some of the finest steaks and chops without a doubt. The menu offers something for everyone and for San Francisco, the prices are medium but the food is excellent. The atmosphere is truly older San Francisco. After dining, it's a nice walk around the shops and further up Steiner street, you can see the "MRS DOUBTFIRE" house.
The wine and cocktails are definately an important part of the atmosphere and part of your dining experience.
For a true dining experience, tasting with all 5 senses, Izzy's Steaks & Chops is definately worth stopping in for.
Wow! What a great find! While strolling in and out of the shops on Chestnut Street in the Marina District, my husband and I discovered Izzy's. The atmosphere is fun, the food is excellent, and the wait staff is attentive and informative. One thing for sure, you will NOT leave hungry. Everything we ordered was prepared to perfection and was absolutely delicious. Our young server "Nick" was able to answer all our questions, made excellent recommendations, and provided us the attention we expect and appreciate when dining out. Izzy's story is an interesting one. We get to San Francisco often, and will definitely return to Izzy's to try more of the awesome offerings on the menu.
