I was somewhat disappointed by the Annie Leibovitz show at the Palace of the Legion of Honor today. There were few of her signature portraits but many, many untitled 'snapshots' on two large walls - many of which look like snaps in my own boxes of family snaps. There were, I thought, way too many of Susan Sontang - alright, she was an important person to Annie - but I didn't go to see picture after picture of her - and the kid. So, shoot me ... as I said, I was somewhat disappointed ... but having said that, there's no arguing that the woman has talent.
