Had some Dim Sum at Ming's on Easter Sunday. It was below average in quality. If you expect top-notch Dim Sum, go somewhere else. It is overpriced and not very good. The sticky rice was especially bad and flavorless.
On December 14th 2008 my wife and I had our wedding there. We didn't choose it because of the bad or good reviews, it's the only place we could afford and the food tasted great.
Before we decided to book the place, we took her family to the restaurant to test out some of their foods. Her family is very hard to impress and asked many, many questions about pricing, the foods, what's available, what's the wedding menu etc. The guy in charge of events was David. I felt sorry for the guy because of the bombardment of questions we threw at him. He answered all the questions and very professional about it.
When we finally decided to book the place, David made sure we understood everything and answer any questions that we had. He made sure what was covered and what was not. You probably need a decorator because the place has no decoration but the place look pretty nice once it's decorated.
During the wedding, the food came out on time and was still hot. My uncle got married August of 07 at Dynasty and it the food didn't come out until an hour later than it suppose to. I was very impress with Mings and the services of the staff. My wife and I are very happy and recommend it to anyone that is on a wedding budget to get marry or have an event here.
First time to be there, even brought two of my friends with me who were visiting because an ad said its the best place for dimsum in the Bay. Im not picky with food. But it was definitely a disappointment. The dimsum were dry and rubbery. Not the tenderjuicy that you want them to be. The potsticker meat even had a bad taste, fighting hard not to vomit right there at the table, i immediately followed a bite with lots of water to get it down quick. Wouldnt recommend it for food. However it has two good things, large free parking space and very easy access to hwy 101.
