My friends and I bought several books and some small chotchkie items from City Lights and had the best time hunting for obscure titles. I think the guy behind the desk got a kick out of us having so much fun! Highly recommend as this shop is for great times, soul searching and pleasant atmosphere!
my FAVORITE bay area BOOKSTORE: There's not only a PLETHORA of books to choose from --- but the BRAINS you get to pick... such a STUNNING array. There's a whole section dedicated to local self-published authors. It's a must visit every time I'm back in the city.
the ultimate beat generation bookstore!: Oh that's such a wonderfull independant bookstore with still the beat generation atmosphere inside. you have to check it out!
