| About: | Do not go here for the decor, which borders dangerously on early 60s in alarming shades of orange, harvest gold, and avocado. But visit this place because of the view, the friendly service and the low prices, in that order. Located just up the road from The Cliff House , it perches on a cliffside that overlooks the Pacific Ocean and Seal Rock to the west and the ruins of the Sutro Baths with a glimpse of the Marin Headlands to the north. Counter service if you must, but get a table by the picture window where you can and marvel at the wonder of the conjunction of sea and sky. |

Louis' breakfast is similar to any hole-in-the-wall diner, but you can't beat the view, funky old interior, and kind staff. They also serve up some good hash browns!
Great lunch place: A great place to go when your hungry. The food is good, the staff provide warm, friendly and good service. And as a bonus the place has an incredible view. If your lucky you'll get the booth in the corner. My favorite item on the menu is the French burger.
Killer view, solid diner fare: if i wake up early enough, i'll often bring the kids up here. i try to come early to avoid the rush (and wait). this place has an amazing view. and there's also a nice mellow vibe...very friendly. food is typical diner type stuff. coffee is very strong. :)
