Mike's Cafe

Just down the street from where we live, the food and service was superb. I had veal scallopini (yes, veal in Palo Alto!!!) my wife had eggplant parmisan. We had our entrees in less than 15 minutes and the prices were about the same as Chevy's or Chili's but the food and service were much, much better. Highly recommend Mike's, it's a fabulous and unique restaurant. I would have like a chilled glass for my beer and I could have done without the dried tomatoes on my veal. Give Mike's a try...you'll love the place.

strange waiter: We like Mike's Cafe in Menlo Park, the food is very good. Today we had a rather strange waiter who could not keep his hands off our 5 year old son and made both my husband and I very uncomfortable. He tickled the boy, stroked his hair, teased him, poked him in the stomach, and made every excuse to hang around our table and stare at our son and try to playfully talk to him and periodically touch him. The funny thing is that he completely ignored our older daughter. Please let me know if you happen to have the same experience with the guy in which case I will notify the authorities. 8/27/06

Always Great!: I have "always" received great service and wonderful tasting food. Their menu is varied which includes Italian dishes, seafood, steak, salads, and soup. Every thing I have ever ordered has been great. Owned and run by locals. Prices are reasonable, ample parking and outdoor seating available. A must go to place! Just do it, you will not be disappointed.
