| About: | Different from any sports bars that you will visit (or any bars at all, for that matter), this joint is housed in a big steel hut, making you feel like you are in some 1950s war flick. Simplicity is the key here, and the atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. It is a relaxed place to watch sports without being distracted by a lot of neon lights or screaming lunatics. Beer is fairly cheap and though the food is not grade-A, it is edible. |

Comfy sports bar: Good garlic fries, but I'm a little sad they got rid of the sliders. BBQ is good - as is most of the food. Decent happy hour prices on pitchers of beer. But best of all, they have all the games. Bonus - they are part of upromise - so they kick back 8% of our bill to our son's college savings.
Good sports bar: Good location for after work happy hour and usually packed for big games, otherwise this place has trouble drawing a crowd. The Old Pro (same owner) off University Ave in Palo Alto is better.
