My husband broought me there for my birthday in January of this year. We have been to this restaurant abouts four years earlier. I ordered the duck ravioli which was too sweet as an entree, and my husband order the salmon which arrived burned and dry. Our waiter starved us of attention and bread. Granted it was a rainy night, in the middle of the week, but I assumedwe would get excellent service, because the restauant was empty except for three tables. Our waiter over-charged us for the wine, but quickly corrected the bill when we brought it to his attention. Feeling unsatified with our dinner, We left and went to the packed German restaurant a few blocks away for dessert and wine, and had a much better time. Dont let this smiley face deceive you...I can't elimate it from this review.
perfect meals: From the greasiest diner to the highest end restaurants, I've been to them all. I would have to say that Asena is one of the best places I've been to in the country. I've never had trouble getting a table for two. The staff is always very friendly and always gives great recommendations for wines. The meals are just wonderful... salads are great, and the soups are amazing. My girlfriend and I get out of there for about $55-$60 with wine, aps, and amazing entres. We go there all the time.
Great Food and Excellent Service: I loved the food. It was stuff that I hadn't had before. A blend of Italian and other mediterranean dishes. The chef was actually out at the table talking to us. It was great to understand the dishes and how they were put together. I love this place.
I had seared Tuna, chilled cucumber/yogurt soup, and an incredible chilled lemon soufflet.
