Best Prime Rib in Town? I DON'T THINK SO!!! I've been there on three seperate occations. First time I had steak, that was tough and dry. Second time I had shrimp which was very good. Third time was the prime rib. OMG it was just horrible. It was loud thanks to the table next to us with a bunch of loud mouth drunk females trying to get the attention of the single male of the that group. And then they had the nerve to charge me for soda refills. REALLY!! I just paid $135 for 2 people and you want to charge me for soda refills? What a total rip off. The only thing good was the bread, baked potato and white chocolate crème Brule.
My wife and I went to Sundance for my birthday and it was fantastic. The lunch menu was well diversified, wine list was comprehensive and our waiter (an older gentlemen) was fabulous.
We highly recommend this restaurant but be aware that it is relatively expensive. But, you get what you pay for!
my mother, cousin and I stopped in looking for a steak. That was the best idea we had all trip.
Though we were underdressed (T-shirts, jeans, and flip-flops) the hostess happily seated us and we never felt out of place. The waiters are there because they want to be- our particular waiter was a published author who still received royalties for his book. The other waiters all had college degrees and seemed to know each other.
The menu was expansive, but I and my companions had come specifically for the prime rib. It's available as small as 6 ounces and up to 16.
The business is very generous- I was provided with a free cup of tomato Bisque because I accidentally ordered it and when the waiter clarified that i could have it on the side, I told him never mind. He brought it out anyway, free of charge. A lady at the table next to us ordered french fries with her meal. The cook messed up and gave her mashed potatoes. Though she didn't handle the situation very politely, the waiter let her keep the potatoes and they brought out a plate full of french fries a few minutes later- more than the standard portion, enough for the entire table.
And through it all, the waiters did it with a smile.
This place is classy but friendly, and totally lacking the pretentious nature of other extraordinarily high class fine-dining establishments. The food is well worth the money and there's something for everyone.
