Mac's Old House is the sort of place any redneck would recognize instantly. Converted to a bar and grill from a residence, it is quite popular with the biker and trucker crowds, and naturally it is a bit rough around the edges as a result. Mac's features a full bar stocked with the major brands of liquors, but it also has two rooms for lunches and family dinners.
The dinner menu has few items, but all are nicely done, with soup and salad a standard include. Mac's does what it can to create a family atmosphere for dinner time in a rough place, not an easy task to begin with.
$12.00 per person is sufficient budget in most cases, but be advised that Mac's is a cash-only establishment.
This is my favorite place to go. Food is consistent. Atmosphere is a bit noisy if you go when it's busy, but after a tough day at work it kind of drowns it all out. Great place to go for 2 people, the wait is usually pretty short even during busy hours. A significant wait can be expected during peak hours for large parties. I love their home-style menu. There are only 5 or so menu selections, all come with salad with vinegrette and minestrone soup served in a bowl you serve yourselft with french bread. Great bang for the buck, and the food & service are consistent.
this place is the best place in antioch to eat and enjoy friends and have a few drinks the menu is great the food is to die for and the price is even better!!! anyone who has not ben here you need to at least try it once and i garantee you will be going back for more!!
