| About: | This is just the place to get your kids, especially if they are interested in nature. For adults, it serves as a wake-up call and induces a desire to act towards preserving natural resources. The museum focuses on global environment and conservation, while the programs incline towards awareness of environmental concerns. Children can have fun at the workshops, where they learn how to make their homes eco-friendly. Follow it up with a cheerful lunch in the museum's picnic grounds. However, if the weather Gods play truant and it rains on your parade, stick to the indoors, as there is no alternative outdoor seating. Those younger than three and teachers with a valid ID can get in for free. The first Wednesday of each month is free for all. |

Nice place - if you like zoo pretenders. I thought I would learn some history about Coyote Point. The place was home to a college, an amusement park and had an important role in stopping Hitler. Change the name or someone might sue under Truth in Advertising laws.
It was ok, but honestly I was bit disappointed: The animals were fun-- its just that there are not really that many! The gardens didnt really work for the kids. The museum is on the smaller side and has a circa-1975 feel with its approach to environmentalism.
The view of the bay was enjoyable, and there is nothing actually wrong with Coyote Point. It's just that it wasnt the kind of thing that I will be returning to again and again.
Love coming here: this is one of the best places to bring kids. lots of open space to run around. a playground. a museum with rescued animals. and a marina with lots of boats and a long jetty to walk out on. also stays nice and cool with the breeze off the bay. bring a jacket.
