I always judge a mexican restaurant by the first offering of food they give me...which is almost always salsa and chips. I have lived in Benicia for about 11 years, I have eaten at almost all of the local places here. I recently tried Ensenada for the first and LAST time. The chips and salsa came, for me and my guests...there were 5 of us total. The waitress brought 1 small basket of cold greezy (yes I know I spelled it wrong) lifeless chips. I dipped one of these "chips" into the watery salsa. I took my first bite, and immediately spit it back out into my napkin. I then announced to my friends that I was so sorry for bringing them to a place that I had not tried out first, and that we needed to leave right away. The waitress watched us get up and leave and didn't even ask what was wrong or why we were leaving. What a lousy place to spend money!!
Good Food & Family Atmosphere: Good mexican food, great price, nice place.
