Great pizza and great service! We at Macys love it and go when ever we can.
Donât ever eat there again!!!! It was the worst treatment we have had at any restaurant or any public place that we have ever been to. A waitress was extremely confrontational and rude to us. She sat our party in a main aisle way when she knew we had two small kids, 1 year and 3 years. Of course the kids didnât want to sit in their chairs the entire time so I got up with them so they can walk around near our table. I always moved them when people needed to get by. The waitress raised her voice to me telling me I had to move the kids because she and the other waitresses needed to get by. I was shocked and angry that a waitress would speak to me in a rude such a matter. She could have asked me in a nicer tone and I would have been happy to take the kids outside. Since I was so appalled, I told her to âgo on byâ in a firm tone right back. She didnât like that and started to complaining to who we found out later was the manager. We then told our waitress to get the manager. He came to our table TEN minutes later. When he came, the girl stood right next to him with her hands on her hips raising her voice at us when we told him how rude she was to us. We told her we werenât speaking to her and she needed to leave. The girl stormed off. We told the manager in a calm tone what had happened but he didnât seem to care. He was just like, âuh huh, uh huh, Iâll take care of it.â We knew he wasnât going to do anything because he just seemed to brush off our complaints and we were right. He didnât comp us anything nor apologize and he even included the gratuity on our bill. We just paid and left because we didnât want to deal with it anymore. NEVER eat there again!!
What can I say about this place hasn't already been said? The food is very authentic and it tastes good. Decent environment with a TV for sports if you so desire. Plus they deliver (not to Concord though).
Bottom line, this is the best pizza place in Pleasant Hill and the second best in the Concord/Pleasant Hill area (to Hollywood Pizza in Concord).

If you can't be bothered to teach your children how to behave properly in a restaurant then you shouldn't bring them out in public and inflict them on other people. And don't come off with an attitude when you are the one in the wrong!
Seriously. I hate all those people who take their damn kids everywhere when they can't be kept under control. If you can't keep your kids in their chairs why are you going to a restaurant with them in the first place? I don't want some smelly little kid bumping into my chair while I'm eating, and all that you're doing by getting up with them to walk them around is re-enforcing that socially unacceptable behavior. Go watch some nanny show on TV or something, lady. To the rest of you who might be interested in an actual review of this place, the food is excellent. I've only eaten there once, but I've had the pizza from there a few times and each time it has been great. And I'm 24 and just moved from Berkeley, so I know good pizza! (By the way, check out Pie In The Sky if you're ever in Berkeley). Besides Rocco's, this is the best I've had out here.
Carmelo and I were on a first name basis since he first opened in the little hole in the wall back in the middle sixtie's.Pizza and service has alway's been excellant. My family and I were basically one of Carmelo's first customer's in Pleasant Hill.Bought his pizza meats from my father-in-laws butcher shop.
Sorry about the date. Was early 70's not middle 60's
