How right you all are, i just got my car out of the shop, they charged me 430 to basically change a fuse,my check engine light isnt working properly to which i told them this in the begining, they didnt even notice that it wasnt working, they claimed to have diagnosed the car, they didnt do anything at all. HOW DO YOU NOT NOTICE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND YOUR A MECHANIC? Just an all around horrible experience, everything is a learning lesson and believe me i learned my lesson.

My car has been there for a month now. I have gotten nothing but the run around and BS from the service advisors. Nobody knows what their doing there. I have had 3 different stories about something as simple as a rental car coverage. They miss diagnosed my problem causing the first $2000 in repairs that was not needed to be done. They never called me to tell me that 2.5 weeks later that my part was on back order so I sat waiting giving them the benefit of the doubt and didn't call them as I didn't want to be the annoying customer. When I asked why they didn't give me a courtesy call to advise me of the situation, the advisor beat around the bush on his answer. This is not a $300 repair. This is now at over $6000. I called the service manager and almost a week has gone by and no return call. They finally received the parts and the part that was 2.5 weeks late was broken. I now have to await another replacement. This part alone is $2600. This car has 82k miles on it, has had more repairs then a cars 10 years old, there are no warranties left as their all expired, and I'm fed up with the service this supposively 5 star dealership advertises of having. Chrysler/Dodge will be hearing from me as well. My parents have service contracts and we have bought 3 vehicles from here. We will be returning the service contracts on the newer vehicles and will never buy from any Hartzheim dealership. This is put as niceley as I could put it as I'm sure you could imagine the frustration I feel a month later and still no car fixed. The car repairs totalled $6300 and I had to take it back 2 days later because the radiator plug blew out due to pressure. This should have never happened by a professional. I got the car back and the lifter in the engine is making a noise. I now have to take it back again for the 3rd time. Never go there for work or to purchase a vehicle. This place should be out of business at this rate of customer service.

Well what do you expect with a vehicle with over 82,000 miles? Of course it's going to break down, and besides, after the warranties expire, be prepared to spend a lot of money on repairs because of all that computer crap they put in the engines now. Common sense tells me exactly how to deal with new cars and avoid repair costs. 1. When you purchase a new car make sure you get everything you want the first time you purchase the car. 2. Purchase the most extended warranty possible. 3. When the warranty expires, time to trade in for a new car. No repair costs, no headaches, and you keep up with technology instead of staying in the Dark Ages. Keep it simple.

Your right on the money,I took my car in to this place 2 days ago just to have it diagnosed which takes about an hour to do, its been 48 hours and i haven't heard anything. There are a hundred other places i could have taken it too. Its not surprising chrystler/dodge is going Bankrupt, they don't deserve a bailout, its ridiculous.

Horrible customer service: I took my car there for a scheduled service from my maintenance plan and tire rotation was part of the service. They refused to rotate the tires because the car came with after market rims from the Hilltop Dodge dealer. They made me go all the way to Richmond from Hayward to get the tires rotated. The second time I needed my tires rotated they said they could do it but after they were done I was left with; directional tires in the wrong place, the left tires on the right and my steering wheel was shaking when I reached speeds of 60+ miles/hour. They also broke the cap on one of the rims and they were trying to return the broken parts to me without taking responsibility of their actions. This is how they treat customers after they take their money, DON'T PURCHASE ANY VEHICLES FROM Hartzheim Dodge unless you want a world of headaches.
