| About: | Located in the heart of downtown Napa, this quaint stucco restaurant serves authentic Mexican fare. The ample dining area is comfortable but a little dark. The amiable waitstaff keeps the chips coming even when the restaurant is crowded. The shaded patio, with its marble-topped tables and lawn-style chairs, is wonderful for people watching. The menu features gargantuan burritos, a variety of enchiladas, and several combination plates as well as a decent selection of carnitas and seafood. You will find a full bar with great margaritas and a nice selection of beers. |

User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsDespite the fact that the dish I ordered was delicious, I was disappointed with the service. Naturally, this discourages a second visit on my part, and it makes a good meal less enjoyable. We sat in a booth in the far corner of the restaurant which might have been one of the causes of lack of attention from our server. After our meal was served he never returned to our table to ask us if everything was okay. I needed another napkin desperately, but I somehow survived recycling one single napkin for the entire meal which was a little messy. Also, I needed one more condiment to compliment my meal. Unfortunately, I had to do without. The server had more than two opportunities to make a quick stop at our table to make sure we were fine, but it was apparent that the restaurant was busy with customers. My take on this is that the owners try to save money by hiring family or acquaintances to serve tables. On top of this they keep the restaurant understaffed in order to give their current servers full-time work. After feeling desperate because our server had not brought our check, I finally headed to the cash register to let them know I was ready to pay. What a disappointment. Please, Don Perico, polish up on modern day customer service.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGoodofood with a reasonable price. The chips and salsa were always refilled and the food served hot. I like mexican food and this is one of the best I have found in Napa.
