Walking into Sansar awakens the senses, and the menu does not disappoint. Tastefully appointed, the service is most gracious and this is the place to get the best cup of chai in town.
They chef knows to tone down the spice for the local pallet, and can adjust for more seasoned food if you are an avid fan of the cuisine already.
I have been a fan of this restaurant for years, and they have a very loyal following. I recently discovered that they are quite adept at the catering as well. I have been favorably impressed with the timeliness of the orders for catering backstage at the Bankhead Theater.
We have treated many artists and their entourage to find Indian cuisine backstage. They always get good comments in the Green Room!

my experience was ok, although i didn't not get the same experience i had with indian foods in the city, i mean the restuarant in frisco are way better than this one. but anyways, since its closer to my place if i ever have craving for indian spicy food, i will hit this place. the cost is ok though not that expensive.
This is my second visit with my corporate staff. This review is based on my fondness of cooking and tastes and not limited to Indian Food. Freshly prepared food, not salty, greasy or extra spicy; excellent place for those who love to enjoy Indian food that is not very spicy. Unlike other Indian restaurants, I did not notice/taste heavy cream in curry preparation. Owner/staff family is very courteous. Restaurant allows you to bring your own wine with a cork fee, which is very minimal. My visits were during weekend as well as weekday; and restaurant was very busy with customers from different culture/background. I will definitely recommend this place to someone who really appreciates different dishes and fresh food. If you are going with group larger than 3-4; recommend to reserve ahead of time since this place remains very busy. Serving area and tables were very clean and not messy at all. Worth to try if you have not tried Indian food or had previous bad experience at other Indian restaurants. This restaurant will remain busy as long as they do not sacrifice food quality. Recommend to create/expand Bar with some local Wines from Livermore. Right side corner of the counter (where Wines boxes are stacked up), needs to be hidden. Overall, excellent food worth more than what you pay for buffet, currently at $8.99. Great place to dine after your wine tasting in Livermore Wine Country.
