User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsClearly I don't see why this is a preschool. They "learn" for about 15 minutes a day, reading the same books 2-3 times a week. Other time is spent playing which almost results in a time out for all children, just for little things such as going around the back side of the house.
If ages start at 6 months, wouldn't it be a childcare? Rather than a "pre-school"
Also, kids are getting kicked out of the daycare, for little arguments, and are being replaced right away by other willing to pay these harsh price parents. Some children are treated unfairly because of "who there parents are" or such incidents that have came up between the owner of this childcare and the parents.
Of course maybe the ages of this childcare are limited because they don't want children with minds of their own to complain to their parents of how awful this childcare service is.

I also would like to extend my highest recommendations for Little Munchkins Academy and couldn't agree more with SP: Some of the posts below place Ms. Kazmi and her school completely out of character.
My preschooler is also currently attending and we are both very happy with the myriad rewards we've been blessed with thanks to Little Munchkins. My son is well versed in his ABC's, letter sounds, numbers, colors, shapes, etc. in English, Spanish, and Sign Language. He comes home with endless stories about what he did that day with his friends and Ms. Sarah and the other teachers. In the mornings, he is always eager to go to school and in the afternoons he never wants to leave right away. He often comes home with an art project celebrating the current season or ethnic/national holiday. Ms. Kazmi always keeps us posted on every detail regarding our child -which never ceases to amaze me. The one-on-one attention granted to each child is paid special attention too. The children are encouraged to play and excel both with each other as well as on their own. Not only has my son blossomed in his social skills, but our friends and family always note his manners and listening skills.
We have never had any problems with the parent handbook rules - I can't imagne why anyone would really find conflict with those. First of all, they are stipulated thoroughly in the contract: because Little Munchkins is nationally accredited (a great accomplishment which Ms.Kazmi has earned), the standards are purposely higher. More importantly, however, the rules are all clearly for the benefit of the children - so that each of them receives the most of what Little Munchkins offers. To add to SP's comments, rules are rules and if parents can't realize that even for the sake of their child's well being, then maybe preschool isn't the most suitable option for you. If customized convenience outdoes the long term development of your child, then I would suggest a personal nanny.
Neither have we experienced any personal issues with Sarah - she is always open to hearing our concerns and very communicative in terms of our son's progress. She has set a standard of professionalism for her school while maintaining a healthy rapport with us as well as our child.
Needless to say, I am extremely puzzled at the (at best) 'negtive' reviews below. Little Munchkins is the only preschool in Hercules that I will ever feel completely satisfied with. I urge parents who are looking for a well-structured, clean, safe, loving and academically stimulating environment to call Ms. Kazmi.
For first time parents, I know it can be difficult to find someone to care for your child so many hours of the week. I simply can't reassure you enough, however, that Ms. Kazmi and her staff are more than capable to love, care for, nd teach your child better than most. Please take this opportunity and do take a look at Little Munchkins. -

My daughter attended Sarah's "academy" and I was really disappointed with the services I received. I had to work more hours just to afford the daycare services she provided (or rather her assistants). My daughter was treated unfairly by Sarah's daughter. I didn't respect the lack of cordiality upon my arrival 4 days a week to pick my daughter up by Sarah. I was never greeted, rather, I was told to close the door so flies wouldn't get in and wait for my child outside. I feel that a childcare provider should display affection towards children and a liking for their job. I work with children and I know how important it is to engage with them on a fun and upbeat, yet responsible level. I would not reccomend this "establishment" and I would not call it an "academy" by any means.

As a current client, I have not known any parent named "Josie". I recommend Ms. Sarah and Little Munchkins Academy (yes, Academy!) to all prospective parents - indeed I have referred them to family, friends,and coworkers. I'm frankly not interested in you having to work extra hours to have your child attend, or have to follow common courtesy and close the door (geez, what a drag), at pickup so that the children are not bothered by flies. You made a choice, and if you were unhappy with the result, then it's your problem.
