My wife and I were there on August 31 this year to use up a coupon we got. We got seated right away in the bar area even though the place was very busy. I had their french onion soup (excellent) and my wife had salad. So far so good. The came the main dishes. I had chicken and my wife had fish and we were both very disappointed. The flavor can best be characterized as very bland. We could get better tasting at our local diner and it was certainly not worth the price we paid there. Additionally we had to ask to be served water. I have been at Horatio's before (a couple of years ago) and the food and service then was what I would expect from a restaurant like this. Because of the poor flavor of the food compared to the price it will be long before I go back again.
I love, love, love the crab and artichoke dip. Yum!
we had dinner here for my bday and the service was excellent but some of the dishes not so much. i would suggest to stick with steak as some of the other dishes are not as great. the people who did not order steak in my party did not enjoy the food. however their clam chowder is one of the best!
