Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: I try to support my local businesses so that we can keep them. This Brenden in Pitt is so empty at times its almost sad. My bad experinces have been mostly involving the disrepectful "pitt" moviegoers. The staff is great but there are way to many ghetto fab people with the talking and cell phone lights during the movie. The 6.75 summer ticket price and movie stamps are the only thing that keep me coming occasionally. But I'm not sure how much loonger this theater will survive with places like The Rave, PH and WC century so close by. A serious remodel is needed to keep my group coming once the prices go back up.
Today was the first time I've been to this movie theater and I've got to say it is not my favorite in the area. This theatre is very old and run down. First when I got there, the movie times were written on an 8 1/2x11 sheet of computer paper, instead of the bright lights we're used to. Then I couldnt find the entrance. My friend escorted me and when it came time sit down, it didnt have that comfy corner or edge seats Im used to at most movie theatres. and some of the seats were broken. It was quiet and empty and my friend and I tried to sit as far from the broken seats as possibly cuz they were covered in cloth that looked out of a horror movie. but there were every few rows, so we tried. We liked that we were watching a funny movie, The Proposal to be exact, then we were by ourselves most of the time, we had an employee check in and a few people just come in randomly and sit down and leave, plus a couple that came to watch the end of the movie. We liked being alone, laughing out loud, and talking Spanglish outloud to our heart's desire. But once the movie was over, we needed to go to the bathroom. Turns out most of their restrooms are out of order, so we went to a few in the back that were a mess, some toilets werent flushed, and some wouldnt flush and their was water everywhere. talking about our experience, we can to the conclusion that the place needs a major update and renovation. If it wasn't for my friend's free movie passes, I wouldnt go there. I would not take my family there nor would I pay the $6.75 entry. I would rather pay $7.50 or $8.00 and go to a nicer theatre. Wouldnt go back unless I had another free pass or they did a renovation there. I was fun cuz I was with my friend and she's like my sister so we can make the best outta everything, and cuz the movie was good. But if it wouldnt have been for that, I would have been much more dissapointed.
I want to say hats off to the polite and caring staff/management at the Brenden Pittsburg location. With this day and age of automated recording and no "true" customer service they excelled in this area. It was a pleasure to go there and be treated respectfully.
Thanks also for cleaning up the theatre (clientel wise).
