I would like to comment on the review by "parent" and "parent 1" First I would like to say no two people have the same experience at any dance studio. When a comment is posted and it is a constructive opinion, good or bad, about that studio, that is fine, however when a comment is made that refers to comparison, training and degrees to other dance studios it raises a red flag to me on how true the statement is. The studio is very organized and is run by a woman in her 50's who has a great deal of patience & experience both with children and business, so for "Parent 1" to say it is run by young and immature people, is not accurate. To say that the technique does not compare to other studios, I really can only compare this studio to others when we are at competition. As far as I can tell, Step 2 This does pretty well. It is a small studio but we always bring home the same awards that other local studios bring home, depending on the day. Many of the students have been invited to dance in the Oakland Ballet. Outside, in demand, Choreographers are willing to come to the studio and work with us and put their name on their routines. They wouldn't do that if the teachers were not doing their job. As far as I can tell, the teachers do a great job. Two of them have children of their own, two of them are attending college, soon to get their degrees and 3 of them have been teaching for over 10 years. Their ages range from 20 to 30. The Teachers always have a TA in the room with the little ones. Also on the last comment from "parent" about not recommending this studio for a serious dancer, I would disagree only because a serious dancer will be serious about dance no matter where they are. The staff takes dance very seriously. As a parent, we all want what is best for our children. When I saw these two comments I felt someone needed to respond in a constructive way.

I would recommend this studio to anyone who loves to dance. The teachers are young and have a great connection with the children. They have very experienced teachers and their ballet teachers are wonderful. Speaking as a dance mom of a young dancer, who has been dancing for 4 years, and been to other studios in the area, I can only say that my daughter has never been happier and I can see her improvement all the time, especially with her technique.

I would not recommend this studio. It is ran by young and immature people. They do not take the time to really teach, nor do I think they have the patience. Their technique does not even compare to the other studios in this area.
