I enrolled in this "school" with the hopes of receiving a quality education. Afterall, what else but quality would I expect for the appx. $17,000 it would end up costing. It did not take long to discover quite the opposite was in fact the case. The educational staff are certainly not qualified to be considered teachers. While they attempt to teach from their own experiences as Medical Assistants, their overwhelming lack of training as actual educators left me going home and teaching myself the curriculum. Often information that was vital to the success of an aspiring MA was left entirely out of the class room education. It was only through the diligence of myself and my peers to discern what we were being shorted that allowed us to compensate for the complete incompetence of the instructors. After applying myself for the duration of the didactic portion of the program, and receiving straight "A's" throughout, I was given my clinical externship. I was told to treat this like a job interview, as externships are chosen by career advisors to give the highest possible chance of being hired upon completion. This turned out to be far from the truth, as immediately upon beginning my externship, I was informed that my work site had in fact no intention of hiring me upon completion of my hours, no matter how exemplary my work. Telling my career advisor this did little to phase them. I have searched job site after job site, applying to job after job. My career advisor has "advised" me to cold call and go door to door to find a job that might be hiring. Is this seriously the best help that $17000 can get? Did I really need someone, whose sole duty is supposed to be to help find me work, to tell me to call around and go door to door!? The entirety of my experience has left me with little more than regret and debt. If you are looking for a quality education in the field of Medical Assisting, do not walk through the doors of this institution. They will do nothing more than take your money.

This place is a complete rip off!!! I went to school in 2003 and had to take a short break following a death in my family. I only had 2 month left and when I wanted to come back, I was told I needed to write a letter requesting to be allowed to return. MY LETTER WAS DENIED but I was still charged the 7 months I had completed. This was completely unfair!!!! Now I'm stuck paying for student loans for a degree I wasn't allowed to finish! I tried contesting it, but they still wouldn't let me re-enroll and finish the program. A few years later, they offered me to come back, but I would have to start the program from the very beginning. Which means paying double for the same damn education!!! Of course by that time, the cost had doubled as well. These people are money hungry and only care about filling their pockets.
