This cleaners ruined my expensive St John evening knit then refused to accept responsibility saying I brought it in that way after I returned it three times to them for spot removal and it shrank four inches. Here are the details.
I took a three piece evening St John knit to Country Club Cleaners for cleaning.
1. I returned to pick it upon. There was no note on the garment about a spot. When I took the garment off the hanger to put on better hangers at home, I noted there was a spot on the neck of the blouse.
2. I returned it to Country Club Cleaners and they re-did the cleaning job. When I took it home I again noted that the same spot was on the blouse. Again there was no note of a spot from the cleaners. I returned it to Country Club Cleaners for a re-do.
3. I picked up the garment again there was no note regarding the spot. When I got home I noted the spot was still there but since it was on the back of the blouse which would be covered by the jacket I decided to wear the outfit. When I tried on the blouse now I noted that it was instead of at waist level it was approximately 4 inches too short making it a midriff garment.
4. I returned it to Country Club Cleaners and Bob (identified as production manager said they would attempt to rectify the situation0. He called me several hours later and said that nothing could be done, the garment arrived to them in that condition and that I must be responsible for the length of the garment. Essentially this was my problem.

St John evening knits with "pallettes" glitter retail new for $1500 to $2500. I found comparable St John evening knits on ebay for $350 to $600. Won a small claims judgement against them. They came to court and tried to say I brought them this shrunken top. Any thinking person would know that a cleaners with any business at all could not remember the length of a top from a three peice suit especially when they could not even see a dark spot returned three times for them to remove. Judge validated that they are liars. They shrank my top and refused to take responsibility for their actions. Buyer/customer beware
