Although the outside look of the restaurant doesn't tell you what it offers...but it's a good place I wouldn't mind coming back very often. Food is very good so far ...(been in the resto like 6 times)There's a friendly vibe and service I would say excellent. I like a lot their bite size calamari...perfectly fried and not drenched much in batter or flour. The side of polenta in the dish is creamy and almost like an aperitif (less the alcohol)in itself.Definitely, can't wait for my 7th visit and a great place to bring out of town guests!
Being a local I find it hard to find great Italian food at reasonable prices. Well this place is a hit in my family. They make you feel welcome and comfortable. The menu is full of different choices and they are always ready to change anything to make your meal just the way you want it. My family and I love it, from the Calamari in tomato sauce to the Veal Scaloppini. We will keep returning to this Great Restaurant.
Fine Italian dining at a reasonable price!: As a second generation Italian American, growing up eating grandma's Southern Italian cooking, many of the ingredients grown in her garden, I'm very critical of Italian restaurant cuisine. On a visit to Wine Country, the hotel staff recommended nearby La Strada. After a day of tasting fine wines, anything less than well prepared Italian would have been disappointing. La Strada exceeded our expectations. The fresh bread and garlic/oil dip was great. The salad dressing was a bit bland, though. However, the pasta and light sauces were exceptional. If we ever get back to Wine Country, we'll be sure to re-visit La Strada.
