Good location, good vibe: I take the bus at the jack london square and accidentally bumped into this place today.
The vibe was good, I ordered a double latte and it came in a ceramic jar.
Interesting choice. The latte looked ok, but when I drank it the milk was way too hot. The sweetness of the milk was pretty much gone. Next time I'll give it another try and I'll bring my therometer
good place to relax or study: Best meal I've ever had in a coffee house. Tiny but good wine list. Could have better lighting at night. Friendly and good-looking locals pick up coffee from here before heading off to work.
Not bad in a service wasteland: This particular neck of the woods, the Waterfront Warehouse District (or the SE side of Jack London Square) has been services poor for a while now, but since it's a warehouse district, one could see how that might be. World Ground was the first good coffee place put in within a very short walk of all these lofts and condos around there. They make decent coffee, but they're no Peet's. They can be really inefficent at times, but it's no biggie most of time. The one thing I really like about them is their vegetarian sandwich for lunch. I'm not vegetarian, but it's great none-the-less. Ask for it with Hummus.
