Compadres Grill

The mixed drinks are great, but the food is awful. It's almost as if they are serving microwaved food. If you love mexican food, this not the place to go. On a more positive note, the atmosphere is great. I prefer to eat outdoors versus in. The place is too noisy and you're constantly getting bumped in your seat.

My extended family has dined here many many times. I think the only reason we go is because it has enough room to fit all the grandmas, aunts & cousins who usually show up to family gatherings, is centrally located for many of us, just so happens to have food safe for certain allergic family members, and is affordable enough for all of us. Neither the service nor the food is noteworthy. The food tastes best when I take home my left-overs and add whatever brand of salsa & cheese I have in my fridge (as I've just done tonight). Yahoo doesn't seem to know that Compadre's moved to River City at 505 Lincoln in Napa. Dec 30 was the first time we dined at the new location. I liked the exterior of the old location better (beautiful lawns, play area for kids), but I like the interior of the new location better. Overall, I neither recommend you eat here, nor do I recommend you stay away.

Great Mexican food, poor service: For the price and the fact you dont have to wait to be seated, this restraunt can't be beat. Unfortunately the service here is very hit or miss. On the brighter side it has a fun atmosphere and a great bar. Ok to bring the kids.
