We had been a few times and enjoyed the 1st 2, the
3rd is suppose to be the charm ... not this time,
very disappointed, never again !
I've been to Zza's at least twice and both times the service was absolutely terrible. The first time was bad, but Iâm always willing to give a convenient spot a second chance even if Iâm not dazzled by their operation. I was recently there again for a special event. We were at party of about 10 and the ONLY people in the restaurant. You'd think the servers would be able to handle one table, but they forgot to bring things like syrup with the french toast or peopleâs drink orders. Water was served late and then never refilled. When servers were asked to bring over condiments or salt and pepper it took an extremely long time for them to return. 3 of the entrees didn't come out until the rest of the group was nearly done eating! If they can't handle one group, I shudder to think of what happens when the restaurant is full...if it ever gets full. We tried to talk to the manager/owner about our poor service experience and she was unmoved. In most restaurants customer satisfaction is made a priority and even if things go wrong the management offers enough apology or throws in a free dessert or something to help you feel that you haven't been taken advantage of. In this case the manager basically shrugged her shoulders and offered a miniscule discount. It was ridiculous. And of course since it was a large party the âgratuitiyâ is mandatory so we didnât even have the option of making a weak statement by giving a 15% tip instead of 20%.
I can tolerate mediocre food, gaudy atmosphere and somewhat dirty surroundings (the walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the floors a good scrubbing), but a poor attitude from the service and management is completely unacceptable. Zzaâs could really stand to take a look at their customer service practices and implement training of some sort to bring their restaurant up to par.
This is authentic Italian food. Good stuff. Try the pesto pasta. Pizza's are great.
