IKEA had some sort of pricing scam going on. We found a bed frame online for a price of $149. We went to the store the next day and was told it was $169. When we showed the print-out from the website, a manager approved the lower price (only because we pushed). We also had to purchase cross-braces and a midbeam. We were charged an additional $30 for the cross-braces and $10 for the midbeam. Later, when reviewing the internet paperwork we had from the IKEA website, it was discovered that in the "Product Information" section, under "Good to Know," it states "[The midbeam] is included in the price but is packaged separately." When I called IKEA about being charged an additional $10 for something that says it is included in the price of the bed, the women said that the higher price for the bed in the store is because we didn't have to have it delivered (if ordering it online)and that the midbeam is an additional $10. So they don't even follow their own internet information or quotes!!! That sounds like a scam to me!
To see the furniture is one thing, but to lay out the item in an environment that is home decour related, now that's awesome merchandise and visuals. Most people don't have imagination so they don't end up buying furiture that would look great in their home because they can't picture it. Not only does Ikea offer great merchandise for a CHEAP price, they give the lackofs a helpful hint. So go shop here if you're broke, don't have imagination, and of course if you want some pretty good furniture.
The best place for furniture in my view. Lots of selection and decent prices. Worth the drive.
