I heartily agree with yr assessment....thin pies=tasty goodness, love the crispy cornmeal encrustations....stuffed pies=cheese bombs, ugh!-

I haven't been there in years but when I lived in Oakland I would eat there for lunch at least once a week.It is one of the best.Everyone has different tastes so definitely give it a try and see what you think.You will love it.
