The BEST Mexican food on the West Coast (and my wife and I are Mexican-American from So-Cal, so we approve!). EVEN THE HOME-STYLE TORTILLA CHIPS are excellent.
Fire grilled meats and poultry burritos, fresh salsa, and grilled serrano peppers, along with authentic Mexican Coca-colas (which are made with real sugar, not high fructose corn syrup, and come in glass bottles).
Prices are reasonable as well. Even their music was great!
The food the serve is excellent. The quesadillas are great, so are the combination plates. If you are wanting an order to go, i recommend calling ahead, they can get busy, plus whats great is they are open late too....I work in the food service industry and this is my favorite placein berkeley, better than the kid friendly placeon 6th street......go and enjoy it
This is probably my favorite taquerÃa in the east bay... so far. Nice carnitas tacos (about $1.70 which is not bad)... excellent strawberry aguas frescas... and the salsas are not too bad either... Not too crazy about their carne al pastor, but then again I really haven't found many places that do this well.
