Besides having great outdoor seating, Strada's iced coffee is to die for. I am not clear how it's made although expresso is used. Not to worry though, the result does not seem any more jet-fueled than standard iced coffee. I go out of my way to have the coffee here.
I love Caffe Strada, which is why it pains me to report that they recently had a number of laptop thefts by an armed man. So go, but if you go, leave the laptop at home or use it at an indoor table. (More details on the incident are in this week's East Bay Express.)
This is a great outdoor seating coffee shop in prime location near Berkeley's campus. Always a great vibe as several students are there talking or studying. A huge selection of flavors and a great bakery special every day... maybe the best coffee shop in Berkeley.
