About:Locals-in-the-know looking for fine Japanese cuisine and sushi, head over to this restaurant. In a small converted house, a beautiful patio and garden brims with lush plants, trees and traditional lanterns. You can also opt to sit inside at the bar or at one of the cozy, funky tables. It features a wide variety of traditional Japanese specialties, like teriyaki, tempura and katsu, udon and nabe-mono (iron pot stews).     It's an amazing Korean style fusion sushi place. I highly recommend ordering the ARK ROLL. It's not on the menu but it's a really delicious mega-roll with shrimp and vegetable tempura, lemon, and crab wrapped up in rice and sushi paper topped with raw salmon. Absolutely heavenly!

    Fun, Friendly, Delicious..Great place to be!: I love this place...I just moved up to the area from LA in Sep '06 and this is the best japanese restaurant that ive been to out here so far. The food is great and the atmosphere is cozy and fun. I always take my friends that visit from southern cali to this spot and they usually want to go back to Joshu-Yas one last time before they leave.
