I love the pub: I have been frequenting the pub since before I moved to the area, I love the atmoshpere which really changes with who is behind the counter. Great place to relax chill and hang out with friends while playing board games and such....

Schmidt's Pub - the best!: What's great about this little cottage-like place of congregation, is that it's got comfy couches if you just wanna flop out and read a book with a hot mug of something steamy from the "bar"; tables and chairs if you actually want to *shudder* work (i.e., laptop, studying, taking notes); AND an outside if you want to drink a pint and smoke or just enjoy the evening.

The staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful there's an aura of warmth about the place. It reminds me of a hug from my grandpa, as you walk into the tobacco area and it's rife with the rich smells of coffee, tobacco and a hit of somethings spicy, somewhere.

The prices are reasonable, and really, for that kind of friendly "welcome stranger" attitude, the prices are a STEAL. The best time to go? A little after work, before supper, to enjoy the lull of early evening, preferably with a chill out, so you can bundle yourself in your favorite warm sweater and hold a hot cup of cocoa in your hands like a cherished child.
