So fresh you pick it yourself and it has not changed the great flavor in all these years. This restaurant/sea food mart/ tourist area gets it's seafood fresh from the docks behind it. Maybe not all as it used to when the crab boats ran full during every season but still the BEST clam chowder and Crab Louis around. I used to think Lou LaBonte's in Auburn was arival but since the've removed Crab Lous from the menu... Also can't beat the extra sour dough. Only the fresh crab Bear Bouchalocki used to cook in his front yard after docking at the Tides even beats it in my memory. I consider it a treasure that ages timelessly. BTW-- The Birds was filmed there too.!!!
The worst restaurant I have been to in a very long time. The food was below dog food quality and the Waiter was snooty. Do not waste your time here you are better off with a can of spam on the beach in the rain then wasting your time or money here.
it was the most terrible dining experience ever! i went with all my girlfriends and we were treated horribly i felt like everyone was staring at us because we were young and we probably couldn't afford to eat there, and the waitress was so rude to us she was trying to hurry us as we were trying to get situated we felt she didn't bother to ask my friend if she needed a baby seat.. honestly shes a young mother so people might see that as something bad but we were just trying to get some burgers.. she got mad and told the manager and they said that everyone at the table had to have a 9.50 minimum.. i was appalled we told the manager and he was even more rude.. so we left her a tip for the bread and left, even though we shouldn't even have tipped them, she told us she didn't even bother to put in our order anyway so we left.. so if you are a young mother or a young adult don't bother going to this snooty restaurant! go to diekmans grocery they have normal people food like pizza and sandwiches! for less than half the price of the tides, trust me you will feel so uncomfortable and people will treat you like crap..!

Yes, this place is not good, I won't go there. My daughter was served glass in her ice cream, when we told them they did nothing.
