| About: | Located in an area called the French Quarter, though the buildings are 19th-century gingerbread Victorians, not 18th-century brick Creole, Royal Thai is less ornate than its surroundings. There are a few pieces of Thai art on the wall, but otherwise only the excellent service and delicious Thai food are remarkable. The menu features sweet-hot marinated prawns, chili-spiked pork as well as noodle dishes that are flavorful and well prepared. Crowded with locals, especially on weekends and for the priced-right lunch specials. |

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis is truly one of Marin's best Thai restaurants. It got its original start in San Francisco, and is conveniently located under 101 in Central San Rafael. I agree that Orchid Thai in San Anselmo is excellent, and I would add Lanna Thai on SFD near RedHill is also excellent!
