User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsif you're filming "The Big Lebowski II" or a "Pulp Fiction" knockoff and are looking for decor that has not been updated (or cleaned?) since 1978, this is your spot... across the street from a "Country Bowl" in San Rafael, where the likes of The Dude can be found in all their glory. The food was mediocre at best, and I'm getting a little queasy even thinking about my visit there. The entrees were ~ $11-$16... seemed incredibly high for this retro, dark, ghetto ambience w/ food that could be described similarly. Either this place USED to be good, hence some decent reviews, or the reviewers all work here? That said, there were plenty of people walking into this skivvy place last saturday night. I was confused and hurried out of there never to return. Swing a dead cat around San Rafael and it will probably hit a better Mexican restaurant.
User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThe food is NOT good at all it is as authentic as taco bell. It is ok if you've never had real mexican food and it is cheap but you get what you pay for.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBest kept secret on mexican food: not just your regular taqueria, this place has delicious food at reasonable price with an autentic mexican cantina ambience. Celia's Margaritas are great!!!
