I have a 2004 Ford F-250 that I bought from the dealer with a 4" lift kit on it that was installed by the other place in Santa Rosa that does lift kits that I will not say their name! Lets just say I drove this truck 15000 miles over the last 3 years and hated it I was ready to sell it because it drove so terrible, I went back to the dealer and the other shop so many times my head was spinning. At the point when I was ready to trade in my truck a co-worker told me to go to Mcleas in Cotati and talk to Greg he told me I would not be let down by this guy's knowledge and he would lead me down the right path to recovery! We spoke to Greg and Glen and the talked us into removing the Tuff Country lift and replacing it with the Donahoe kit. When we picked up the truck Greg went with us for this test drive and I could not believe the difference not only does the truck not feel like I am driving on washboard anymore, The wandering is gone and the vibration on the freeway is gone!
I will be a life long Mcleas customer and two thumbs up to Greg and Glen.
What a Joke! I went to this shop to have my master clutch cylinder replaced. They replaced it but when I got the car back my break lights were constantly on. So I had to take the car back and they made some adjustments and corrected the problem. But it doesn't end there. Now when I get the car back all of my windows don't roll down. I checked the fuses and they seem to be fine. So I bring the car back AGAIN and they look at it and are unable to fix the problem. Great! So when I get the car back apparently after they had been under the dash messing around I now have a new set of problems. Now my rpm, speed, temperature and gas gauges do not work. I couldn't believe it! So I bring the car back yet again and they tell me that they don't have the electrical schematics to diagnose or fix that issue. So they give me the name of a shop that does electrical so that they can verify if the problem was caused by Mcleas or not. I would have to pay for the diagnosis by the way. If it was Mcleas fault then they would cover the costs. Overall this shop has been a nightmare. Don't go to them unless you want to be frustrated and disappointed.
**UPDATE** 3/19/08
I wanted to let you know that I took my car to another shop to get the problem diagnosed. They discovered that the circuit breaker for the power windows was unplugged likely due to the work that Mclea's performed. As for my gauges malfunctioning they attributed this to just a coincidence. Either way I went back to Mclea's and gave them a copy of the bill for the diagnosis which came to $180. The other shop fixed the problems with my car but after I left that shop the problem came back so I brought the car back and they are giving me a temporary fix till next week. Mclea's agreed to cover half of the bill because they agree that the windows malfunctioning were likely their fault. This is what I expected from Mclea's at the least so I am pleased with that response.
