excellent food, swell service....prices are definitely higher than this site indicates.
A real surprise!: This is a fine Italian trattoria, with excellent food and a mouth-watering and rare pomodoro sauce on some of the pastas.Right in the middle of Cotati, it's obviously a favorite of the locals, and the time we were there it was half-filled with winemakers (a good sign).
Nicolino's is superb: I hate to let the cat out of the bag about this place, but it is too good not to share with anyone within driving distance. A work colleague turned us on to the place and we go back at least once a week. We have even done take-out! Nicolino's is an intimate little restaurant on the main drag in Cotati. It is located right next door to The Tradwinds, a dive bar - but none of that has anything to do with the restaurant. The food (and desserts!) are all homemade. My wife likes the Spaghetti Puttensca the best, while I have gone back and forth from the Chicken Dore to the Pasta Paesana (Pasta and sausage in a spicy red sauce) as well as the chicken caesar, on the nights when I am hungry but don't want to be too full. Haven't tried the pizza but I have heard great things. The food and service have been consistantly good. The wine list is ample and they will brew a fresh pot of coffee for the perfect after dinner sips. Really good place. god, I sure hope it is not packed next time I go!
