Fantastic Crab Cioppino! Quaint Windowed & Woodsy Half-Moon Restaurant w/Fireplaces

After a whirlwind of driving from Russian River, through Jenner & a spectacular sunset, heading south on CA1 and a fruitless stop in Pt Reyes Sta @ the all too stuck-up Station House Cafe, we were sooo fortunate to stumble upon Sorella Caffe.
A chance turn into the town of Fairfax, we were led by white (holiday) lights to this cozy restaurant w/ marinated olives & freshly scooped cheese served upon our being seated.
Though Sorella's menu has a standard cioppino, the server announced one w/ fresh crab---that's the one for me. It came w/ lots of mussels, whole clams, tiny scallops, bay shrimp and hunks of white fish. Yummy.
Mom had eggplant parm---the sauce was light & akin to vodka sauce. Spaghetti & meatball for the 7-year-old. My only complaint is the menu stated "meatballs," rather than the singular, albeit good sized, meatball that appeared atop the pasta. A bean soup and salad for my partner who gave thumbs up to both.
As for dessert---I spied a tiramisu @ a nearby table. If I had any room left (I took home half my cioppino), tiramisu would have been my choice:)

If you like gummie bears this is the place for you.The staff and owner are really sweet, and you will feel welcome.Fireplace is nice touch in the winter.However the food taste like it comes out of a can, jar or freezer from Costco. Not bad just not great. Not much savoy flavor in any dish. Great place for a fast pasta meal with hungry kids. They serve you right away. And they have a kids menu.
What lacks in food makes up in fast friendly service. Good olives at the table for mom and dad.

Bread, olives, & water arrive to your table right after you do! Fresh tasting everything, great wine list, and parking is easy. 5 stars!
Oh, they even bring free cookies & gummies after your meal!
