Nice restuarant. We went there on a Sunday night and it was still full of people. It has adequate parking and good service. It could use a few upgrades inside like a new carpet and it could have been a little cleaner in there but the whole staff looked as busy as they could be, so I'm sure it wasn't due to negligence.

My southern babe for a spouse saw "Southern Chicken with biscuits, mashed potatoes and gravy" and made up her mind fast as what to order. I had this huge half-pound hamburger in a big sourdough roll. All good. The only downside I can think of is that they serve Pepsi and not Coke. They could use a little spruce-up inside and the booths' seats felt a little cramped but that was it.

Used to love Star Restaurant, but this year we were disappointed twice so we do no go to Star anymore as we have cut back on dining out so when we do go, we want to enjoy our dinner.

I thought that perhaps the original management was not there anymore. The staff is still nice, the portions are huge, but the ambiance and the food is not as good as it once was. For example, the pancakes are not light and fuffy but kind of big and thick.

What appears to be a new manager seems frustrated and crabby at the register, the staff seems not to be as organized as they used to be. We miss the previous managers as they were always so relaxed and kind to us.

Little things like no fruits added on your plate can make a big difference to us as diners. Or having to get your own jellies because there were none at the table and the poor waitress is too busy to be found.

The sausage is not tasty but tastes as if it has been sitting around too long. We didn't get sick but surely the manager would want his customers to have tasty sausage?

We used to love having a slice of orange or some grapes with our protein plate, but these are not given anymore.

So, we do not go to Stars anymore and we miss the way it used to be. It is too bad.

They are always full of customers tho', so you might want to try it if you don't mind taking a chance.

I have been eating at Star since the day it opened. I have brought large groups there on a regular basis. There is great value for your dollar -- lots of choice, plenty of food, reasonable price. Separate checks are provided with a smile.

No, Abe and Firas no longer own it and changes in Management can be a bit of a challenge. However, the quality and quantity of food remains pretty much the same. Can't say as much for the upkeep. Some items still need repair. Rumor has it the current owner, Sean, has the place up for sale again. I have heard it is advertized online without the name, but have not sought out the ad.

The cook staff has been there 10 years. They know what they are doing! The waitreses can run the place on their own and have been "training" the new management.

Sherry, Sharon, Christine, Stephanie, Rosemary, Julie, Alicia and Corina have been there a long time and all are EXCELLENT waitresses. They are friendly and continue to make all welcome and feel like "family." They remember the orders of the regulars, consider who may need to get in and out in a hurry to get to work on time, keep the coffee and cold drinks refilled and know many customers by name. Thanks, Gals, for *ALL* you do! *You* are what keeps us coming back time after time.

If you have not been there -- go! And if it has been a while -- return! Either way, you will not be disappointed.
