| About: | Named for the brick-lined winding passageway that leads from the street, this charming French restaurant features elegant dining in a relaxed cozy setting. The several dining rooms gleam with copper and the service shines, too, even more brightly. The seasonal menu features fresh fish, filet mignon with brandy, and golden caviar with blini and sour cream. The clientele includes a loyal local following as well as people who travel north from San Francisco for the food and the wine list. User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsAll the great food and service you would want, $$$: The restaurant offered great food (especially the appitizers), excellent service
with a very small town French atmosphere.
I would rate the tastes and dining experience wery highly.
My one complaint...was the way the wine selection was handled.
My wife and I requested a wine list, and insted were given a wine steward to help us select....who of course gave us a choice of 3 very expensive wines (pared with dinner) with no price list.
Needless to say when the bill came...it was outrages, and I felt duped.
Not a way to finish a great dining experience.
