Excellent place! Try showing up on a Thursday evening when the musicians get moving, the place ROCKS! Get there by 8 or 9 and let your feet move to the fine sounds of great local players
Vladimir's is a find! A quaint and cozy slice of old Europe in Inverness, California. The place is casual, the food is excellent and the draft Pilsner Urquell alone is worth the trip! Vlad's story of escape from communist Czechoslovakia in 1948 would have been enough to put any other place of this kind on the map but out-of-the-way Inverness has seen to that. At 78, Vlad still does the cooking and shares the dining room duty with nephew Robert. A limited menu with only the stuff you're looking for in a place like this. Czech music (or was it Slovak?) as ambiance and occasional live music from the old country. No credit cards, Vlad wants cash! We loved it!
Disregard the Posting Below: This is Vlade's, a great old school place with good beer, duck, and character! Vlade climbed under the barbed wire to escape Czechoslovakia...which is more than can be said for the moron tourist who submitted the posting below.
A GREAT place to stop in for a beer after picking up Oyster's at Drake's Bay Oyster Co.
