User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe food here is fantastic, but you will be expected to pay for that food. You can also expect the meal to take a long time, there is no rushed food service here. The chef tends to be somewhat experimental with the menu therefore don't expect to find 8oz sirloins with mashed potatoes. I loved my meal here, but my wife did not. She found a great deal of items that she couldn't bring herself to try. I get the feeling that other people might have a similar issue. For those that like to try something new, this place is perfect!

User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsDid not get to the food, probably never will: I went there with my brother's family including my 2-year old niece. They accepted our reservation and we indicated that we would bring a 2-year old child, and provided our phone number. When we arrived, the maitre d' asked us whether my [then sleeping] niece would be quiet. Needless to say, we left immediately. There are plenty of other choices in Los Gatos and we enjoyed our dinner at a great restaurant next door!!

Personally, I am glad you did not dine with a 2-year-old at Manresa. When I dine at that quality of restaurant I do not want to hear small kids. There are many wonderful places to take the family.
I'm glad the maitre d' took the time to consider the other guests when you arrived.
I CAN NOT TOLERATE CHILDREN RUNNING AROUND MAKING NOISE AND NOT BEHAVING IN RESTAURANTS. WHEN I COMPLAIN TO THE MANAGEMENT, THEY SAY THEY CANNOT SAY ANYTHING. I WILL NOT DINE THERE AGAIN, AND WILL WALK OUT AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF THE CHILDREN DO NOT BEHAVE. THEY SHOULD TAKE THE KIDS TO FRIDAYS OR DENNYS, NOT SUBJECT OTHERS TO THAT LACK OF MANNERS.
