The Original Hick'Ry Pit

There may be serious health concerns when dinning at the Campbell HickRy Pit.
I wittnessed cooks and watress's picking up food from the gill and placing it on customers plates with their bare hands several times, then doing other non food related tasks. I wittnessed bacon being drained on cotton hand towels that did not apear to be clean.

Although the food tastes good, the food preparation is poor at best and is a recipe for illiness. The Heath department should be advised before there are serious problems.
If I am taking the time to write this , things at the Pit are pretty unhealth. Given the current flu related heath concerns, you might think food establishments would take extra care.
Avoid the HickRY Pit......

In addition the service is at best poor to bad.

POOR SERVICE the workers are RUDE!!! and they close the doors and stop giving service at 8:30 when door close at 9pm!!!!!!! sorrryyy

Poor Service at its BEST!: My husband and I decided to meet some friends there for breakfast one Sunday morning. We were promptly seated however it was a good 20 minutes before we recieved any water or coffee...and it just got worse from there.
My husband had to flag down our waitress after she had passed by us at least a half dozen times. All in all it took over 30 minutes to get our food. Not sure what the hype is, the food at Denny's tasted better...I think we will pass on the pit next time...
