| About: | Welcome to Florentine's The Florentine Restaurant Group, Inc. is owned and operated by key management employees. We have been providing Northern California with the finest in Italian home style cooking for over 35 years. The popularity of Florentine's has been established by a commitment to serve the freshest, highest quality Italian food to its customers. In 1964, the first Florentine Restaurant opened in Cupertino, California (it's still there today). As the reputation grew, new locations were added; Mountain View in 1978, and in 1984, the Florentine Pasta Factory was opened in Saratoga to meet the increasing demand for the company's products. Throughout the late 1980's and early 1990's, the store expansion continued; retail counters were added in each location, allowing customers to purchase uncooked products for preparation at home, as well as hot food to go. Following a period of retrenchment in the 1990's, the restaurants were purchased from the founder through an employee buyout, in July 1998. Subsequently, a re-focus on customer satisfaction and food quality has allowed Florentine to resume its positive growth. Today, Florentine remains committed to providing you with the highest quality Italian home style cooking (whether full service, takeout, or catered) and friendly service, with nine locations throughout the Bay Area and Northern California to serve you. User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsit's surprising how dinky and crappy the decor is in here, considering their high prices! at least they have excellent bread. it is seriously so good, especially the cheese spread they have to go with the bread. the pastas are a little richer and heavier than i would like though.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsA nice florentino joint with low ceilings and better than avg Italian food. Great gnocchis, clam pizzas, pasta, vino etc. Pizzas to go literally flying out the door also. Love Florentines.

Tagliatelle Bolognese BLAH!: I have been going to Florentines in Cupertino for over 30 years, but it had been a while, maybe a year since the last time. My first surprise was it was pretty empty for a Friday night. Hmmm what do people know I dont know...I ordered what was once my favorite ...Tagliatelle Bolognese, it used to be quite good. But what I was served last Friday was pretty bad. Instead of nice sausage all it had was clumps of tasteless undercooked hamburger meat. UGH! WOW, I dont think I can ever go back.

Florentine's staff historically would've probably rectified the problem had you made them aware of it. I've eaten there for decades and occasionally when they's mess something up, they're quick to fix it and more. But only if I made them aware of it.
