The service department at this dealerships is horrible! The staff is rude and they do not follow through on their promises. I took my car in to get a new battery and it took the service department 2 weeks to do this simple task. Not only did it take an un-needed amount of time, but no one ever called to give me status updates, even after I had called and asked for them. I had to call every few days just to find out what was happening. To top it all off, I wasnt called when my car was finished and ready to be picked up. I only found out it was done because I happened to call and ask.

Poor maintenance department: My 2004 Mazda3 went in for check engine light a year and a half ago. The car would not like to start when I put fuel in the vehicle. Took it to the dealership 3 or 4 times finally they replaced some purge solenoid valve and voila, did the trick. So a few weeks ago, the same problem came about. Took it back to the dealership told them same symptoms as last time. So instead of checking to see if the solenoid valve was bad, they just hook the computer up to the car and check for codes. Runs lean. So they put on an oxygen sensor and call it good. They said if the light came back on, they'd have to put on a new maf sensor. That was $400.
So I'm a bit of an auto hobbyist. I've rebuilt engines, I even installed a new engine in my '94 Lumina myself and got it to pass smog. So I'm thinking, how does an oxygen sensor know if I put gas in the tank? And how would a maf sensor know the same? Answer, they don't. So my light came back on and instead of taking it back to the dealership, found a local repair shop that specialized in Mazda's. I told him the symptoms and what fixed it last time. So he pulls the purge solenoid valve off and finds that it won't hold a vacuum. He replaced the part for $200 and that fixed it again.
I don't know what's worse, the fact that a car came back with a repeatable problem and they don't spend enough time looking at the history and if that part went bad again, or the fact that they couldn't think about what they were doing. How does an oxygen sensor know when I put gas in the tank? That question obviously did not enter anyone's mind there.
Unfortunately, I think new mechanics think that by hooking their tools up to the cars computer, it will really give out the correct cause of the problem. You still have to have some kind of mechanical aptitude to work on cars. There are not enough sensors on a vehicle to really do a self diagnosis. It gets closer every few years, but I really think computers are still in their infancy when it comes to the automotive sector.
End result, buy a car there if you wish, but they do not have the technical capabilities to troubleshoot a problem. When out of a warranty, do not even think about going back.
