I have been frequenting Boswell's for the last 20 years. The live bands are great and the drinks are good and strong, yet overpriced. On the downside, the bar is under new management and is much more political and discriminating than it used to be when certain bartenders are working or certain regular patrons are present. I wouldn't recommend it. Los Gatos Lodge or Courts is a better environment.

Dear Boswell’s


I have loved, liked, hated, worked at, played at, been hired and fired from, like and now love you again Boswell's.

Colby Pollard (that's me) and Kenny Arnest played every Sunday night there for over six years. It was cover music but we all did it proudly because it was really cool doing it there. We played XTC, The Beatles, Squeeze, The Police, REM, U2, Joe Jackson, Elvis Costello...

We must have been doing something right, because we always had a great time. Especially when Chris Racine, the unique, awesome, audio tech, wacky, drummer (The Gents, Wire Skin and Boys, Caracine, Gooffy Foot...) started to play with us. He had the best sound system in town. So instead of tearing it down after a very profitable weekend with The Gents. He'd leave it set up and play with us, make more money and it sounded great. I swear that man could make a Blown Speaker sound incredible.

Now I'm celebrating my Fifthieth Birthday this Saturday March 28 at Boswell's. Why Boswell’s? Because it's the best place that this broad mix of musicians, friends, new and old can and still go.

Very Few Live Music Clubs dare to keep it going. I've always felt it was a Cool Showcase Room. Thank you Jeff Brigham (Owner).

Lot of names have stopped by on their way to the big time... Greg Camp (Smash Mouth, Movie Sound tracks "Shrek"...The Gents), Lyle Workman (Sting, Jellyfish, Movie sound tracks "40 Year Old Virgin"...) Paul Delia (Smash Mouth, Go Man Go) Mark Behniea, (Guitarist Television) Kevin Pollack (Comedian & Film star), Kevin Gilbert, Eddie Sedano (The Gents) , Frank Joseph (Vegas), John Weidemeir, Rick Williams, Stoney Cats, The Garcia Brothers, Bongo and Guy...

Rick Williams' Band is playing and he said, he'd be honored to have us there celebrating and jamming.

I HAVE BEEN GOING TO BOSWELLS FOR THE PAST FIFTEEN YEAR'S,AND EVERYTIME IT'S A BLAST. YES IT'S A HOLE IN THE WALL BAR...BUT IT IS SO HARD TO FIND LIVE MUSIC IN THE AREA.IT'S ONLY ROCK N ROLL...BUT I LIKE IT!
