If you're in the mood for a wide-open golf course (flat, no hills), try Santa Clara. The course was nice and clean, although not altogether interesting. The driving range is good - definitely on the better side of the ones I've seen.
Good golf course with interesting holes: The good holes are the 2nd, 6th, 7th, 12th, 16th. Most of the holes have wide fairways and easily playable greens. The resident discounts for Santa Clara residents are great.
Can't think of a negative except a lot of walking required between some holes.
One other thing I liked about this course is that there are no, zero, residential or comercial buildings lining the course. Gets a lot of light during summer.
An ok golf course: this is a good golf course for money, but you better bring your A game, alot of blind shots, and each hole is really close to one another so mark your balls. the premier hole is the 6th, very nice par 4 on top of a hill.
enjoy.........
